Disbursement Funding: Hampshire Trust originally specialised in the provision of commercial mortgages. However the introduction of the Access to Justice Act provided the perfect opportunity for the Bank to combine the skills and experience of its director/solicitors with the accountants and bankers on the team to introduce and develop disbursement funding products which truly added value for members of the legal profession.
Ever responsive to the needs of its fellow professionals Hampshire Trust now provides a suite of funding facilities no longer restricted to just disbursement funding or third party payments.
These include Practice Funding where the lending is directly to solicitors for disbursement funding, other third party payments and Work in Progress in respect of any area of legal practice, and the Personal Injury Package for Solicitors which provides CCA loans for disbursement funding to solicitors’ clients in respect of personal injury claims.
More specialist facilities include the Costs Advance Scheme, which provides greatly enhanced cash flow to solicitors (by assisting with work in progress and disbursement funding) at the point when they submit their files to approved cost consultants for costing, and Matrimonial Funding a client loan based facility to assist those clients who may be asset rich but cash poor to pay interim bills (including disbursement funding) as they are delivered.
Administration of loans could not be simpler through the Bank’s own web interface HELIX (Hampshire’s External Legal Information Exchange) that allows solicitors to manage their disbursement funding facility including set up, draw downs, and repayments and obtain management information, including matter and facility balances, 24/7.
